Quality Assurance & Data Manager for Relief Nursery Network Recruitment

HIRING SALARY RANGE:         $75,725 – $80,080 / year   ($36.41 – $38.50/hour)

SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday.  Occasional after-hours or early morning meetings.

WORK LOCATION: Fully Remote.  Employee must live in Oregon.  This position requires access to a home-based office and regular (20%) statewide travel within Oregon.  

MINIMUM REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience, preferably in a Relief Nursery, early learning program, or other nonprofit organization; OR two years of work experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • A Valid Driver License. An acceptable driving record and willingness to travel to Relief Nurseries throughout Oregon is required.

  • Center the Children and Families We Work with in Your Own Work.  You are familiar with the Oregon Relief Nursery Quality Assurance Standards and relevant Oregon Administrative Rules.  You have experience working with children and families who have experienced trauma.    
  • Experience or Proficiency with any of the following programs: Microsoft applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; Google Suite Applications; Apricot; and Zoom.

The Quality Assurance & Data Director’s role includes the following Areas of Responsibility, Evaluation, and Essential Functions:  

Certification & Quality Assurance

  • In collaboration with the Certification Committee, oversee, maintain, and execute a streamlined certification and recertification process for all Relief Nurseries.
  • Schedule and conduct recertification visits for existing Relief Nurseries.
  • Develop and maintain a schedule and protocol for ongoing monitoring of Relief Nurseries.
  • Provide written reports and certification recommendations to OARN Board of Directors following certification visits.
  • Facilitate discussions with the OARN Board of Directors and Relief Nursery, Inc. when certification standards or program compliance issues arise.
  • Follow established protocol, strategy and plan for Relief Nurseries that may be out of compliance with Relief Nursery Quality Assurance Standards and core requirements.
  • Collaborate with Relief Nursery, Inc. to develop documents, trainings and other special projects for use by the Relief Nursery Network.
  • Facilitate OARN’s process to review program financial reports.
  • Provide technical support and training to current or developing Relief Nurseries as needed to support the on-going quality of programming.

Database Administration & Reporting

  • Serve as the primary database administrator and assist all Relief Nursery sites to ensure compliance with data collection and data entry as required by the OARN Memorandum of Understanding.
  • Create and maintain reports and forms as needed or as requested by the OARN staff and RN network.
  • Train all new database users on the Apricot system including HIPAA policies, report access, data entry, and access to database resources.
  • Develop and present quarterly and annual reports to the network.
  • Compile data or one-time reports and provide data to external entities as requested by the OARN Director.
  • Assist with Data and Evaluation Committee activities.

OARN Board and Staff Communication

  • Provide staff support to assigned committee(s).
  • Facilitate monthly meetings with various communities of practice (Teachers, Volunteer Coordinators and Program Leaders).
  • Maintain communications with Program Managers to provide statewide updates, networking opportunities, and peer support.
  • Actively participate in OARN staff and Board Meetings to ensure that issues or needs that cross multiple programs are considered and addressed at the network level. 
  • Identify the need and develop recommended policies or best practices related to Relief Nurseries.
